My New Blog

Welcome to my blog 🙂

Until this moment I have been using my Facebook page as a means to share my photos and thoughts.  However Facebook is notorious for lowering the quality of photos and after a few posts, it’s difficult to see the previous ones.

For those of you who have arrived at my site without viewing my Facebook page, my name is Steve and if you’d like to see what I’ve been shooting you’ve definitely come to the right place.  I’m just chasing my dream of being the best photographer I can be and I plan to document my journey, thoughts and inspiration.  During that time, I hope to meet other like minded people who are also chasing their dreams through photography.

I have loved photography since I was young and remember playing with my parent’s and grandparent’s film cameras, enjoying the click of the shutter and the sounds of the mechanism as the roll of film moved forward.

I enjoy candid photography of families from newborns to loveable grandparents.  I like to capture all the smiles, laughter, frowns, tantrums, tears, the special connections and personalities that is unique to each family.

I look forward to sharing with you some of the images I have captured and hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy sharing them.

To start this blog off, I’d like to share one of my favourite images from a recent outing to the Gayundah wreck at Woody Point in Brisbane.  This image was taken using a 10 stop filter to increase the exposure time and create the lovely effects with the clouds.
